I have been interested in photography for many years and have owned different Pentax models (K1000 followed by a P30). For years I focussed (excuse the pun!) on slides and still have 9 boxes of 500 slides, each gathering dust in the loft.

Three years ago I decided that the transition to digital was unavoidable and bought a Canon EOS 500 with a Tamron 28-300 lens. I am not a great believer in having to change lenses regularly and this is the reason for choosing that lens, although I do have a 25-50 zoom as well.

Most of my photography is of wildlife and nature and I rarely photograph people. A few examples can be found below (each is clickable to expand).
